Our first experience was out of this world!!!! I would recommend this place to everyone. Our service was excellent, food was very good and fresh, and the time frame was quick for the time we went. I would have to say there were NO negative comments on our visit.

Yum, Yum, Yummy! This place is consistently great. The dynamite shrimp appetizer is an absolute MUST. It's one of my favorites. I've never had anything here that I didn't like. And I've pretty much tried it all. It's great to come with big groups because they put everyone's order on a big spinning lazy susan thingy and you get to sample what everyone ordered.

The service at PF CHANGS is awesome! I have never had a bad waiter! We love their dinner for 2 special. They offer soup, an appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert. You save a lot of money with this special! Love all the food! Have to try!

P F Chang's is one of those places that if you have eaten at one you have eaten at all of them. This is not always a bad thing as you know when you walk in the what you are getting. So how do you judge one against the other? Consistency of the food and quality of service. The food quality, quantity and presentation was what was expected from the appetizers to the entrees. If I were to nitpick one aspect of the meal it was the use if iceberg lettuce with the chicken wrap appetizer instead of a better quality lettuce like bib or butter lettuces. Our waiter was was attentive to us even with the other tables he was taking care of and one of the managers stopped by a couple times to make sure we doing ok. Other than that it was what I expect when I go to a P F Chang.

Hmm....225 rated this as the best restaurant for Chinese/Asian cuisine?! Seriously? First, the good: There was no waiting time....and that's pretty much it. The food was not memorable at all. I started off with their hot and sour soup which was more sour than hot. For my entree, I ordered the lo mein with pork, chicken and shrimp. Although there was enough for leftovers, the food was meh. In addition, the white rice which should be the easiest thing to make was overcooked! Service was also incredibly slow (waited 7 minutes after I was done eating to get a check from my waiter). Save your money and try one of BR's finer local Chinese/Asian establishments instead of this chain restaurant.

I'm not a fan of Chinese food in general so I had the salmon with asparagus. Nicely executed and a fair value. Also at the table we had some sort of chicken with peanuts and sesame sauce that was really good. The dessert offerings were all very good and of great value; you may choose smaller portions of various items (blueberry cheesecake was great!) for $3 or $4 (and the portions are not really all that small!) Service was great, atmosphere was noisy. This was only my first trip here but it seems to be a solid place--I probably won't go out of my way to dine here, but if I receive a gift card I definitely won't dread using it here.

1st time eating at a P.F. Changs ever yesterday. Stopped in for lunch and this place was packed!!! Was thinking this must be an outstanding place. Service was quick and friendly but not overly smothering. Entree I selected was "mennhh"!! However the egg rolls/spring rolls were outstanding as well as the crab rangoons!!! My entree was Beef ala Sechuan but unfortunately there was very little beef in this large portion. Vast majority of this "large portion" was celery and carrots. Don't get me wrong the only way I can eat celelry is in Chinese food but seriously have a little balance!! I mean the entree WASN'T called Celery ala Sechuan!!! My lunchmates split an order of Kung Pao Shrimp and damn I sat there the whole meal being jealous and kicking myself over my order choice...That plate was piled high with those tasty shrimp and I aint too proud to admit I snagged a few when the lunchmates weren't paying attention!!!! Also ordered a Crab fried rice for all of us to share. The portion was huge but the taste overall was bland however I really liked the inclusion of chopped asparagus in the dish. Aspararagus was crisp and fresh and tasty. The hot mustard was excellent and this allowed for some flavor in the rice once I mixed some in. Overall, it didn't knock my socks off and it makes me look at those friends that rave about this place like maybe they're a taco short of a combo platter!!! However, due to the excellent service and the outstanding starters I sampled I will give this place another shot but will definitely be ordering a different entree!!!

During my recently completed business trip to Baton Rouge, I skipped over this P.F. Chang's and took all my dining advice from local sources. And I did quite well with fine selection of Cajun Seafood, Ribs, and other local specialties. At one point, I called my Office back in Martinez and was teased by a coworker about missing the annual Prime Rib Lunch at the Plant. My immediate response was that he had no idea how well I was already being fed. Two years before on another Baton Rouge area business trip, I ate at this P.F. Chang's twice over a 2 week period. The other side to the "Local Cuisine" card is that on a business trip, sometimes all you want is consistency and knowing what to expect food wise. And for that, P.F. Chang's is a solid choice for both food, service, and comfort.

I like PF Chang's. It's a consistent lunch experience, as my usual stops here are business centered lunches. The pricing on the lunch menu has come down, so that is a nice plus. The service is pretty good, although at times, some serves are better than others; more attentive. They have a wide selection of items and they also offer gluten free, carb free options, so that is nice too with swimsuit season upon us. One of things I like is the turnaround time. The food and service is quick without feeling rushed and since I am there for meeting purposes, I really appreciate that detail. I usually indulge in the new dim sum lunch, which is a small portion, but great if you want something healthy, inexpensive and light. This is the best lunch selection when you have a big dinner to look forward to later. When dinner doesn't influence my lunch decisions, I like the scallop dishes and the combination rice is worth the additional charge and large enough to share. When I dine here with three or more, this place is great for family style eating. If you're wondering why the three stars? PF Changs is good. It's consistent. It's nothing short of what you would expect from an Asian Fusion chain. It's a good place for a working lunch and they serve coffee in tall mugs...that's all I got.

Worst Chang's I've ever been to. Food was oversalted. One dish was overly charred like they cooked it twice. My husband couldn't even finish it. And the dish that I had was not worth eating. The tofu in the dish was runny and undercooked...so gross. I will never go to this location again and it makes me not want to go to any other PFC's when previously I enjoyed them.

My wife and always love coming to P.F. Chang's. They have great food and awesome service! We have been more than happy every time we have had the chance to eat here. If you are in the area and looking for a great place to eat you need to stop by P.F. Chang's!

I got the lamb entree, hot herbal tea, & 2 coconut lemon sour drinks for just under $50. Prices were okay, portions were good, drinks were good, but beware, diners: everyone at my table was charged a percentage of the cost of an appetizer that ONE person enjoyed at our table. I wasn't even at the table when it was ordered. When I mentioned this to my server, he told me that it was ordered "for the table," & that he was sorry that I didn't get to try it, but that I would be charged anyway. The small surprise charge wasn't the issue, it was the general apathy that turned me off to this place permanently. I won't be going back.

PF Chang's is a fun place to eat. The food is very accessible to a lot of people. You can get "adventurous" with your order and still know that you'll never feel like Andrew Zimmern with a live octopus trying to strangle you while you eat it. I like most everything I've had on the menu. Recently we tried the Orange Beef and it was extremely flavorful and quite a pleasant surprise. I just learned about Happy Hour and I love it. I had to write a review so I could add it to my Best Happy Hour in Baton Rouge list. They have a full menu of Dim Sum which is not available any time other than happy hour. Also, a large portion of their specialty drinks are $5 (normally $8-$10). Definitely the time to come and try an exotic libation that you were scared to shell out ten bucks for at dinner time. The dim sum was very good and there are a ton of flavors to choose from. We asked for suggestions from the bartender (we only sit at the bar) and he gave us some really good choices but I don't remember what they were (I'll go back and eventually update the review...but taking the bartender's suggestion is easier). They come 3-5 to an order and the order is around $3.50. Careful not to fall into the same trap I did. "Oh look, they're only $3" Dan orders 3 kinds "Still hungry. They're only $3" Dan orders 3 kinds "MMMMM. Egg rolls and Lettuce Wraps (also on special HH price)" Dan orders each. All told, it turns out that ordering a dozen cheap foods along with a bunch of "cheap" drinks...well it ain't that cheap for long. I'll do better next time. And a next time there will be. . I can't wait til I'm a "regular" here so they'll stop asking me if I have any food alergies (lot's o nuts here). It's a great practice but I'm tired of them asking me. OH YEAH. $2 PBR. BOO YA!

Not a big fan of Chinese food. However, I must say I enjoyed my dining experience. The dumplings are great and the Pepper Steak was delicious. Had to wait longer than expected, but overall it was good experience. Ask for server Brett. Tip him well.

Anyone who has visited a number of P.F. Chang's establishments knows that not all branches of the restaurant are created equally. Happily, the Baton Rouge location is on top of their game. The service is extremely prompt and friendly, and the food is delicious. When I'm passing through here again, I'll definitely stop by.

Always love my meals here, although it's hard to choose between the lettuce wraps and the crispy green beans as an appetizer. Beware, if you get the green beans, it's a LOT of food. They are so good though! And the sauce they come with is great. I even attempted to make it at home. It's a nice place to relax with a glass of wine and yummy food.

Yes more expensive then your typical Chinese but not too pricey and its worth it to know the food is good quality. The ambiance is great and staff is friendly. The lettuce wraps are my fave but I'd recommend almost everything on the menu because I've tried most of it. The Great Wall chocolate cake is worth the indulge

Last week I was traveling on business with a few of my peers. One of them is a very picky eater, so we ended up at Chang's. I realize this resto is a chain but I just had to write about the knock-my-socks-off service experience. My dish at Chang's is the coconut curry veggies with tofu - I found out on a recent trip that it is over 1000 calories, so it is not as healthful as one might think. Well, the entree was just wrong. VERY WRONG. I immediately sent it back (an extremely rare occurrence for me). The manager, Mike, came over and said the veggies we "wok burned" and said a new one would be right out. What really happened was the curry supplier sent the wrong curry. They had to discontinue serving the dish for the evening b/c it was not up to Chang standard. Mike suggested I try the same selection of veggies with their Buddha sauce. It was delish. When I got the bill, my entree was comped and he even offered to bring the girls and I free desserts. I also want to give props to our server, Sean, we was also super nice, competent and patient throughout this whole experience. Great job, Baton Rouge Chang's.

I wasn't impressed by this place. It was my first time dining here last week and I expected so much better for the money. For one, the waiter never asked us if we wanted an appetizer, but then 15 minutes later brought us some other table's appetizer order! We asked him twice if this was complimentary because we didn't order it and both times he said "yes". I don't know if he didn't understand what we were telling him or not, but after several minutes he came and apologized for giving us someone else appetizer then he TOOK it away from our table and brought it to the other table! If I was that other table's guests I would have been appalled...I would never want a waiter to take food off of someone else's table, after they possibly touched and breathed germs on the food, and then come and put it on my table! And we were STILL at that point never asked if we wanted an appetizer! Our actual entree order was correct, but the food was so much less than I expected. Very bland seasoning to taste. I won't be going back.

Lunch was fantastic. Had the sweetest waitress. Gave great recommendations. Service was pretty quick for a Friday lunch. Didn't order from lunch menu though. She recommended ordering from the regular menu and sharing. Great idea!

It's a normal big chain restaurant. Mediocre food, mediocre service, and very loud and immpersonable. I realize this is not PFC's issue but maybe a dress code or something. Parents bring their children in their damned football clothes all stinky and shit and you have to sit and try to eat dinner next to the stench oozing from the little "athletes". PARENTS TAKE YOUR KIDS HOME AND MAKE THEM SHOWER BEFORE GOING OUT TO EAT! The people who have to sit next to you do not wants to smell that!

High calorie tasty crap masquerading as healthy food. I ordered a chicken wrap tonight and it was soaked in sugar. The service and drinks were great or this would be two stars. Never going back.

The restaurant is hip and modern. However, the food is often over salted and or over cooked. I have been to this establishments 3 times and was not impressed with my menu selections either visit. Our server on the first visit was horrible. This visit ended with the manager comping all of meals because we waited over 35 minutes for our orders. We only had 1 hour for lunch. The second visit they got our orders wrong so we just ate it and didn't make a stink. Episode #3 ended with our server over charging us by $10. However, she did realize it before we left the parking lot and returned the $10. On a lighter note, the egg drop soup, is delicious but not good enough to return.

Sat at the bar with my son and enjoyed good service and tasty food. The Changs for 2 was a good choice for us. I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted. I tried the Dynamite Shrimp for the first time. All I can say is wwwoooooowwwww....it took a minute for my mouth to settle down:)

Stopped in on a whim and the place was packed! I was already stressed and somehow the bartenders were charming and funny enough to relieve me of my worries. We have eaten here on numerous occasions but never really tried the cocktails. Tonight I had a tequila based cucumber cocktail and it was very refreshing! The bar is unfortunately not very accommodating in terms of space, particularly on crowded nights. Yet, they seem to be able to keep things moving when I visit this location.

The food was good, but the service wasn't too awesome. Me and a friend went Monday night, and our server just didn't pay a whole lot of attention to us. I understand people get busy, but she definitely "checked out" way before her shift was finished.

My Score 4.75.This is an upscale Chinese Restaurant with a slight twist to it. If you're tired of the tradition buffet/shrimp and noodle entries and you don't mind paying a little more for better quality food then come here. The location is premier for Baton Rouge and they also have pretty good service. The environment is really great for a friends gathering, Friday after work dinner, casual setting, semi romantic setting etc. NOTE: sometimes there can be a long wait time because it's like a social/mental getaway for people and they sit forever (for me I don't care about the wait).

I always love coming to P.F. Changs. I don't always think about them, but I always enjoy the atmosphere, service, and delicious food. The Chang's Chicken noodle soup is my favorite, especially during the winter. It's made fresh to order so I sub out the shitake mushrooms for white button mushrooms and I get no noodles so I can just eat it all by myself :) The lettuce wraps are also really really good. Great for groups and special occasions.

Chang's is great......it really is. Today I went for lernch (lunch) with my buddy Justin K. and we requested one of their many sexy booths. We felt we were made love to at the table after greeted by our server Jen as she introduced the fall menu. Her sultry voice kept us focused on the delicious entrees as she described the flavas of the Chang's Spicy Chicken vs Orange Chicken. The lunch specials come with a cup of Egg Drop Soup and white or brown rice, or $1 up charge for fried rice. The portions are pretty good (I took 1/2 of mine to go for lernch 2.0) and they are..were delicious. I decided on the Orange Chicken with extra zest. Jen hooked me up by bringing a separate bowl of sauce filled with zest. I have enough sauce to make my own at home....it will be called Sabrenda's Ernge Chicken. Oh yes!! Justin K. ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken...I would tell you all about it but he was a hog and would only allow me to taste an onion. Lol and it was delish as well. Jen hooked us up AGAIN by bringing out two spring rolls on the house! Look at us having Spring rolls in the Fall! Jen as a pleasure to have as well (we are funny about our servers) she kept our teas filled (cause we thirsty) and our senses at attention as she described the pumpkin dishes and drinks she has explored. And the love making ensued .......... As we ooed and ahhhed.......after that lil convo we had to order the Pumpkin Wontons for dessert. They were amazeballs. I would like to just go in and order that one day...or order 12 to go for my upcoming Halloween Party. To top it all off: I walked in there with a $25 gift certificate to cover lernch....and walked out with a $10 gift card. Jen just handed these to each of us after we paid our tab. Looks like we are going back Saturday! I hope Jen is ready.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
